How much does it really cost to lift a truck or Jeep — and what’s included?

There isn’t a one-size price. You’ve got economy kits, top-tier systems, and solid middle-ground options. Cost depends on vehicle, lift height, brand, and included parts (shocks, control arms, steering corrections, alignment, calibration). Our quotes include professional install, alignment, torque verification, and a free 500-mile retorque — no surprise shop fees.

Leveling kit vs. full suspension lift — which do I need?

A leveling kit raises the front to remove factory rake — simple, budget-friendly, and great for a mild tire size bump. A full suspension lift raises the whole vehicle and adds components (control arms, shocks, track bars, etc.) to correct geometry and preserve ride. We match height and parts to your goals, tire size, and daily use.

Do I need an alignment after a lift or level?

Generally, yes. Some solid-axle setups may only need a drag-link adjustment to re-center the wheel, but if it’s been a while, we still recommend an alignment. We align to lift manufacturer specs, not just factory. More here: Alignment Service.

How long does install take?

Level kits are typically same-day: morning drop-off, end-of-day pickup. Lift kits average 1–2 days; complex builds can run 3–5. We schedule proactively — you’ll know drop-off and expected pickup — but we’ll ask for extra time if that’s what it takes to deliver a 100% right install.

Will lifting my vehicle void my factory warranty?

No. Dealers can’t blanket-void your warranty. They must prove a modification caused a specific failure (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act). Details: Aftermarket Mods & Warranty.

Can you fit larger tires without a lift?

Sometimes. Fitment depends on wheel width, offset/backspacing, tire height/width, and the platform. Light trimming (valance/mud flap) may be required. We’ll spec it cleanly either way.

Do you recalibrate my speedometer after tire size change?

Yes — available for a small fee. We can also advise on TPMS and any ADAS considerations.

Can you diagnose death wobble or steering issues?

Yes — this is one of our bread-and-butter services. We find the root cause and recommend quality replacements. A steering stabilizer only masks issues; it doesn’t fix them. Address it ASAP — it’s unsafe and can snowball into more worn components. Learn more: Death Wobble.

Wheels & Tires

Fitment, offset, ride quality, road noise — we set you up for daily driving, towing, trails, or all three.

Do you sell wheels and tires?

Absolutely. Forged, cast, beadlocks, street look — we sell and install wheels and tires daily. Pricing is almost always the same as online, but you also get our fitment expertise and hassle-free support if anything shows up wrong.

How do you guarantee no rubbing?

We model wheel width/offset vs. tire size and travel. If trimming or a bump-stop change is needed, we explain that up front and do it cleanly.

Do you handle large tires in-house?

Yes — 35s, 37s, 40s. We do big tire/wheel combos every day and set them up to ride right and last.

Can you recommend offset/backspacing?

Yes. We do this all day. Whether you want max tire with minor mods or zero trimming, we’ll spec it to your look and use.

Gears, Differentials & Driveline

When should I regear after bigger tires?

Often at 35s and up — sooner if you tow or drive hilly routes. Regearing restores power, shift points, and MPG stability.

Do you perform differential setup and re-gearing in-house?

Yes — we’re Middle Tennessee’s only Yukon Gear & Axle Certified installer. We’ve regeared or rebuilt hundreds of diffs. It’s a precision job; we do it right.

Do you sell and install lockers or limited slips?

Yes — posi units, selectable (air/electric), and automatic lockers. We recommend based on your use. Backed by our Yukon certification and clean installs.

Vibration or noise after a lift or driveline change — can you help?

Yes. We diagnose pinion angle, driveshaft condition, carrier bearings, wheel balance, and hub centricity. Fixes range from shims and UCAs to carrier drops or a new shaft.

Armor, Recovery & Steering

Protect the important bits and make sure the steering keeps up with the build.

Do you install winches, bumpers, and recovery gear?

Yes. Whether you want form or function, we’ll guide you on tow points, winch fit, and lighting integration so it all works together.

Do you offer steering upgrades for lifted vehicles?

Yes — and this often gets overlooked. Big lifts and tires usually need steering upgrades. If you wheel it, upgrade it. We have options for all platforms to match your goals.

Do you install onboard air, compressors, or power management?

Yes. ARB, Viair, and more — clean mounting and wiring, quick-connect air points, gauges, and switches exactly where you want them.

Do bed covers leak?

Quality brands seal well when installed correctly. We prep and drain where needed and show you simple maintenance that keeps it tight.

Do you install SmartCap or commercial toppers?

We do. SmartCap modular toppers, commercial DCUs, and heavy-duty systems for work or overland — fitted and sealed right. See brands we recommend: Bed Covers & Toppers.

Do you work on Toyotas, or just Jeeps and trucks?

Yes. Behind Jeeps, Toyotas are our most customized vehicles. We know Tacoma, 4Runner, and Tundra owners and set them up right.

Do you offer lowered or street setups?

Yes — we’re a full customization shop. We live and breathe suspension: lift, level, or lower. We work with the major brands and align it correctly.

Do you install lowering kits or air suspension?

Yes. From drop kits to full air setups, we handle geometry, clearances, and alignment so it drives the way it should.

Do you sell/install performance parts (intakes, exhausts, tuners)?

We do. Cold-air intakes, exhaust systems, tuners, superchargers, and turbos — plus dyno tuning options.

Can you finish or fix another shop’s work?

Yes, and we do it a lot. Don’t get burned twice — bring it to us and we’ll make it right.

Warranty, Quality Control & After-Care

Accountability matters. Here’s how we document work, verify torque, align, and follow up.

Torque Beadlock wheels installed by Music City 4x4, combining aggressive styling with precision fitment for Jeep, Bronco, and truck builds. Expertly mounted and balanced by the Hendersonville and Clarksville TN teams for dependable off-road performance.

Do you offer warranties on parts and labor?

When you buy parts from us, you get the full manufacturer warranty — and we handle the claim. Our labor warranty isn’t a gotcha window: if an issue is on us, we take care of it. Shops aren’t perfect; how we handle problems is what sets us apart.

What if something isn’t right after the install?

Call us. We may take a $50 deposit to reserve a diagnostic slot (to curb no-shows). If it’s on us, it’s refunded. We’ll make it right.

Do you perform post-install inspections?

Yes. The service manager QC-checks work before release — torque markings verified, alignment where applicable, and a road test to confirm everything’s perfect.

Do you schedule a complimentary retorque?

Yes — a free 500-mile retorque for suspension installs. Most manufacturers require it, and it keeps everything verified after settling.

Scheduling, Quotes, Payment & Policies

We keep it easy: quotes, drop-offs, timelines, rides, and payments.

How do I get a quote?

Use our online quote form or call either shop. We ask a few basics about goals and budget and respond quickly with clear options.

How far out are you booked?

We aim for about two weeks — enough time to get parts in and cushion for shipping hiccups without dragging your build out.

Do you offer rides while my vehicle is in the shop?

Yes — ask about Wrench & Ride. We’ll help you get where you need to go while we wrench.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We prefer cash and offer 2% off when you pay in cash. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, and Discover, plus financing options. When you approve a quote, we collect parts payment and schedule once ETAs are confirmed. The balance is due at pickup.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — traditional options like Affirm or Synchrony (credit check) and secondary lenders with no credit check. Details: Financing.

Can I bring my own parts?

We’ll install customer-supplied parts, but we strongly discourage it. When we supply parts, you get full warranty support through us. If something arrives wrong/damaged, we fix it — you’re not stuck in a return maze. Our install pricing is lower when we supply parts because we can stand behind the whole job.

Do you work with insurance claims or accident repairs?

Yes. If your customized vehicle is in an accident, don’t let a generic body shop guess at suspension/wheels. We also work with TriStar Collision for body/paint and have experience with all major insurers.

Do you offer inspections or second opinions on used lifted vehicles?

Absolutely. We’ll spot costly issues, give you peace of mind, and arm you with facts to negotiate.

Do you offer general maintenance or only mods?

We handle general maintenance but not engine/transmission repairs. We’re suspension specialists — that’s where we deliver the most value.

Any discounts or promotions?

We offer Military, Fire, and Police discounts with proof. We run package deals, track manufacturer promos/rebates, and pass along savings when we can.
